Under 13 Girls special rules:
The Laws of Cricket apply except

The Team

  • There are 10 players in a team
  • Managers may umpire U13 girls games. A degree of coaching is permitted.
The pitch
  • will be 20 yards long and all types of artifical pitches are acceptable.
  • the boundary should be not less than 25 yards
The Ball
  • A junior incrediball is to be used.
Bowling
  • Maximum of 3 overs per player and underarm bowling is permitted.
  • Any delivery that passes over waist height on the full, (even though it may hit the stumps) will be deemed unfair and 'No Ball' must be called.
  • The penalty for Wides and No Balls is two runs in addition to any runs scored: but no extra balls will be bowled except in the last over of each innings.
Fielding
  • Even if wearing a helmet, no fielder is allowed to field within 11 yards of the middle stump, except behind the wicket on the off side, until the striker has played at the ball.
Batting
  • Bat for 4 overs in pairs
  • Start with 200 runs plus 5 runs for every player eligible for Under 11 cricket
  • 5 runs deducted for each lost wicket - batsmen should change at the fall of a wicket unless it occurs from the last ball of the over or a run out, i.e. the dismissed batsman does not face the next ball.
Dismissals
  • Players will not be dismissed LBW unless they deliberately block the ball to prevent it hitting the wicket.
  • All decisions by the umpires are final.
