rules:

The Team
- There are 10 players in a team
- Managers may umpire U9s games. A degree of coaching is permitted.
- will be 16 yards long and all types of artificial
pitch are acceptable
- The boundary should be not less than 25 yards
- For all U9 games the smallest stumps are to be used
and without bails
- The umpires' decision that the wicket has been broken is final
- A junior incrediball is to be used.
- Maximum of 2 overs per player, including the
wicketkeeper.
- Every player must bowl ONE over and 5 players must
bowl a second over.
- Underarm bowling is permitted.
- Any delivery that passes over waist height on the
full, (even though it may hit the stumps) will be deemed
unfair and 'No Ball' must be called.
- The penalty for Wides and No Balls is two runs in addition to any runs scored: but no extra balls will be bowled except in the last over of each innings.
- Even if wearing a helmet, no fielder is allowed to field within 11 yards of the middle stump, except behind the wicket on the off side, until the striker has played at the ball.
- Bat for 3 overs in pairs (An innings = 15 overs)
- Start with 200 runs
- Batsmen can choose to bat with a plastic or wooden
bat
- 5 runs deducted for each lost wicket - batsmen should change at the fall of a wicket unless it occurs from the last ball of the over or a run out, i.e. the dismissed batsman does not face the next ball.
- Players will not be dismissed LBW unless they deliberately block the ball to prevent it hitting the wicket.
- All decisions by the umpires are final.
