Eligibility
- Only clubs entered in a division of the U15 BYCL are
eligible to enter
- There will be 1 entry per eligible club
Fixtures
- The 2008 draw will be at the Fixtures Meeting at 7:30
pm on 29th January 2008
- Round 1 and Round 2 will be geographically zoned
- Round 1 will be played on Sunday 4th May 2008
- Round 2 will be played on Sunday 18th May 2008
Playing rules — normal Under 15 playing rules apply
- The match will be a maximum of 40
overs - up to 20 overs per innings, per team
- There are 11 players in a team
- Bowling: a maximum of 4 overs per
player. Underarm bowling is not
permitted.
- The pitch will be 22 yards long
- A NEW 5 1/2 oz. cricket ball is to
be provided by the nominated home team and is to be used
for both innings.
- Fielding: Even if wearing a helmet,
no fielder is allowed to field within 8 yards of the
middle stump, except behind the wicket on the off side,
until the striker has played at the ball.
- Managers: Managers should not umpire
games and no coaching is permitted.
- Substitutes: Substitutes are only permitted in the event of an injury to a player and in the absence of a recognized umpire only with the agreement of the opposing team manager. Substitutes may not bat; bowl; act as a wicket-keeper, captain or runner.
