Outcomes from the Annual General Meeting — 27th November 2007

Season 2008
At the Annual General Meeting there was agreement that:
  • Clubs arrange fixtures within the guidelines provided by the Fixtures Secretary
  • In the event of inclement weather clubs re-arrange and play the postponed fixture within 3 weeks of the original fixture date.
  • All games must be played on or by the published Divisional end date

  • Clubs who successfully claim the points for a match — cancelled for reasons other than the weather — shall be awarded the maximum 25 points

  • The winning manager is responsible for returning the result and both team sheets to the relevant Divisional Secretary within 7 days of the fixture. The home manager must notify all postponed, cancelled or abandoned matches to relevant Divisional Secretary

  • For Under 11s to U17s a new ball, provided by the home team, will be used for both innings. Home team means the team shown first in the published fixture schedule.

  • U9s were left with choice to use plastic or wooden cricket bats

The Management Committee were asked to:
  • consider extending the season into September 2008 should it prove necessary.
  • consider seeding at U17s in season 2009
  • allow for educational term times in planning and scheduling fixtures
  • Zoning for Cup and League fixtures where possible and practical
